INDONESIA

Indonesia is one of the countries that is located in Southeast Asia. Indonesia is known as an archipelago country because the country consists of many islands. This tropical country is also famous with its richness of cultures, languages and tourist destinations.
The capital city of this country is Jakarta. The president of Indonesia, Bapak Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono lives in this city. Indonesia has many traditional languages, but Indonesian uses Bahasa Indonesia as the national language. Bahasa Indonesia helps people from different islands to communicate to each other.

Like other countries, Indonesia also has its own philosophy on its national flag. The color of the national flag is red and white. Those colors have deep meaning for Indonesians. Red means brave and white means purity.

Indonesia only has two seasons. They are dry and wet seasons. The dry season start from June to October. The weather is hot in this season. The sun shines brightly. After the dry season, wet season comes. It starts from November to March. It’s rainy every day. Heavy rain often occurs during this season.
Indonesia also has many traditional food, clothes, and houses from every place. For example, Yogyakarta has Gudeg and Maluku has Papeda as the traditional food. Indonesia also has various traditional clothes such as Tulang Bawang clothes from Lampung, Serui from West Papua, or Urang Besunung from East Kalimantan. Indonesia also has many amazing traditional houses around Indonesia such as Toraja or Tongkonan from South Sulawesi and Gadang from West Sumatra.

Indonesia has many tourist destinations from Sabang to Merauke. Bali Island is one of the beautiful and amazing places in Indonesia. There are many attractive tourist destinations there such as Kuta beach, Tanah Lot, Nusa Dua, etc. In Papua there is also a gorgeous place called Raja Ampat. Many people call it a hidden paradise because its wonderful beach and scenery. Other famous tourist destinations are Malioboro in Yogyakarta, Bunaken Beach in Manado, and so many more.
